Summer is fast approaching and now is the perfect time to work off the last of that Easter chocolate and start getting your summer body ready. Roel Jansen from Fit For Anything shares how he gets his clients ready for summer:
Did you know that I offer personal training session gift vouchers? These make a perfect gift for someone else who is looking to boost their health, fitness, and wellbeing, or could be a great gift to give to yourself (or put on Santa's list).
If you're looking for a fitness, health and wellbeing-related gift for someone, this could be a great place to find something that will be practical, appreciated and affordable.
If you’re feeling stuck doing the same strength exercises day after day, week after week, it’s time to take your workouts, and your results, up a notch.
When it comes to boosting your fitness you have to be motivated. You have to have a solid reason to put the time and effort into your health and fitness regime, and you need to be organised. The SMART system is one which allows you to set goals in such a way as to make sure they get done! Goal setting is not only essential for planning, it is key for motivation and ultimately success.
It doesn’t matter whether you haven’t worked out since 1991 or whether you are a regular, how your fitness journey starts will be with a healthy dose of motivation. Some of us are fabulous at self-motivating ourselves, we can catapult out of bed in the morning and sprint for the gym. Others need more help to get going and keep going.
Did you know that 90% of new gym users quit before they have reached their goals? Here are some tips to stay on track and reach your targets: 1) If your time is limited, stick to short, sharp workouts of 20-30 minutes with little rest in between exercises. 2) Get a workout partner. Push and motivate each other! 3) Keep your exercises varied. Don't allow yourself to get bored! 4) Don't push yourself too hard to begin with. It's unlikely you will see a noticeable change in the first month, but don't let that put you off training - persevere and slowly increase intensity.
